Читать далее тег отображается на КАЖДОМ посте

Недавно я прочитал этот потрясающий пост , и мне нужна помощь, чтобы понять, как отображать ссылку "Подробнее" только в сообщениях с большим содержанием для отображения. Как бы то ни было, в настоящее время он отображается в каждом сообщении, даже если это короткая однострочка. Любая помощь была бы признательна, я в основном просто скопировал/вставил код Питера с небольшим дополнением:
