ошибка soap Фатальная ошибка: Неперехваченное исключение SoapFault: [HTTP] Не удалось подключиться к хосту

Я сталкиваюсь с этой ошибкой при отправке SOAP-запроса с помощью PHP SoapClient:

Fatal error: Uncaught SoapFault exception: [HTTP] Could not connect to host in /var/www/phpwebservice/soap-client.php:6

Скрипт отлично работает при перемещении файлов непосредственно под /var/www/ значение:

http://localhost/soap-client.php

Но когда я перемещаю его в подпапку с именем phpwebservice, появляется эта ошибка. Не имеет значения, если подпапка выглядит следующим образом:

http://localhost/phpwebservice/soap-client.php

Или если бы я сделал для него виртуальный хост:

http://phpwebservice/soap-client.php

Если вы находитесь в среде разработки, лучше установить soap.wsdl_cache_enabled=0 в php.ini. В противном случае вам придется вручную удалить кэш WSDL после внесения любых изменений в файл WSDL (обычно расположенный в каталоге, определенном soap.wsdl_cache_dir)

Я столкнулся с этой проблемой для конкретной службы SOAP, когда connection_timeout не был указан в моих параметрах SoapClient. Установка тайм-аута на 1 устранила проблему для меня.

$wsdl = 'https://...';
$options [
  'trace' => true,
  'exceptions' => true,
  'connection_timeout' => 1
];
$client = new SoapClient($wsdl, $options);

Неважно, я просто удаляю /каталог из каждой строки, в которой он находится, из файла wsdl, теперь все работает нормально, в любом случае.
